2026 Safety & Technology Committee

This committee explores innovative technologies and practices to enhance safety on county roadways. They assess emerging safety technologies such as intelligent transportation systems, vehicle-to-infrastructure communication, and advanced driver assistance systems, along with proven safety technologies/systems, aiming to integrate these solutions into county engineering practices to reduce crashes and improve traffic flow. We do not currently have a specific day of the month/quarter where we meet. I just send out a Doodle poll to get responses to see what date and time best fits the most people on the committee. I think that may be a good idea, that way people could plan around when our meetings would be. We will look into that and I will let you know if anything changes in that regard. I would not expect that any individual would need to spend more that a couple hours a month (probably more like 1 hour a month) working on this committee. However, we have created a conference subcomm
